Edward
has been involved with Antique clocks for over
30 years and has been selling antique clocks and
antique barometers for 10 years. Initially he sold
these from Mulberry Bush Antiques in Goodramgate,
York. He then moved his business to the Red House
Antiques Centre and continued trading as The Clock
Room in October 2004.
Edward scours antique
sales across the UK - and occasionally further
afield - looking for those special antique clocks
and barometers. This ensures an eclectic stock
is always available to those searching for something
different and unique and not otherwise to be
found.
As the only specialist
antique clock and antique barometer dealer in York
and its environs, Edward likes to keep a representation
of items from this area. With examples of antique
clocks by Henry Hindley, the Agar family, Batty
Storr, Darling and other often less well known
but none the less individual clockmakers from York.
Clockmakers
from Hull, Beverley, Malton, Scarborough, Thirsk,
Northallerton and other regional clock making
centres are also often to be found in The
Clock Room.
